SWIMMING

Increased speed and athleticism

Designed to improve your performance and keep you swimming pain-free.

The True Motion Swim program can help increase your swim speeds while staying pain-free in the pool. An elite swim program has two components:

  1. Arm care program: All athletes start off with a comprehensive 1-on-1 evaluation by a Physical Therapist to assess baseline strength and identify any weaknesses in your shoulder and core stability. Your body develops and transfers force while performing all 4 swim strokes, but your shoulder and arm must control the force. A solid arm care program is the foundation for every elite collegiate and Olympic swimmer, but is often overlooked in the years leading up to college.

  2. Strength and conditioning: Not every strength program is equal. Nor is every strength program optimal for swimmers. Every athlete will meet 1-on-1 with a C-PS certified Physical Therapist who will build a program based on your specific needs and goals in order to enhance your body’s true motion. By increasing your strength and coordinating your leg power – core rotation – and linear arm drive, you will pull water faster and enhance your swimming performance.
